There is more brokenness and grief than we can bear in the world.
Each day there seems to be new Bad News.
We feel helpless.
We live fearfully.
Anxious to do even the normal things of life.
Sickness, violence, injustice, despair.
How do we make a difference?
Some days, how do we get out of bed?
Where is a space where we can be safe?
Where can we go that we don't have to be afraid?
When we don't know what to do, we do the only thing we can do.
One small step forward.
One small movement.
One act of kindness.
Feet on the floor.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Try in some small way to make the world a better place.
Give comfort to the hurting when and how you can.
Experience empathy.
Turn off technology.
Turn on compassion.
Think and pray.
Do more than just think and pray.
Love yourself, love others, love God.
Be gentle.
Our circles are small, but know the ripples go out into the world.
Make waves that float boats, not destroy shorelines.
When brokenness abounds
Let us be the ones who
Fill the cracks
Plant the seeds
Hold the hands
Help the weary
Lift our voices
Ask for help
Hold ourselves for another day.
This is from where Good News comes.
Until we feel it in our bones and know safety, love, and grace for all
... small moves.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
