The Tide is High

...but I'm holding on. Blondie released this song in 1980 but it still speaks to me today. Her version is focused on a relationship, but I can't help but apply the themes to the spring. This seems like the busiest time of the year for everyone. May is the new December. April is the new May. And March is the top of the slide.

How do I manage the oncoming daily tide? How do I create healthy boundaries? How do I feel content? How do I become a better friend, parent, partner, or colleague? What do I really value and how can I get there?

I'm not the kind of girl to give up just like that. There are always obstacles in our way, but we're not going anywhere. We can make it through the mayhem of these coming weeks - and can even do so with joy. All we need is a reset... and some rest.

I'm convinced we can do this reset and rest together after talking to a large group of women and men this spring who had so many common themes showing up in their lives right now. We all share similar problems, and we all have unique circumstances. I'm sending love your way during this busy season. You are not alone in the spring chaos. One day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time, sometimes one minute at a time. Keep treading water. The tide is high... but so are our hopes.
