Are You Addicted to Busyness?

If summer is a break, why does it seem just as complicated as any other time of year? You may need to ask yourself the question - are you addicted to busy? If you even slightly expect the answer to this question is "yes" or "maybe," you could be making some big calendaring mistakes. I see the following mistakes ALL the time.

  • 🙈 [Mistake #1] Every day is jam packed and I never have time for myself - even in the summer.

  • 🙈 [Mistake #2] I feel like I have to do everything by myself. Everything hangs on me. If I don’t do it, who will?

  • 🙈 [Mistake #3] It is hard to say no so I just keep saying yes - even when it hurts.

If you’re making these mistakes, you're in good company. A lot of us - most of us! - are struggling with these same issues.

Here are 3️⃣ simple solutions you can implement to fix them and get better results from your calendar! 💛

  • 🤩 [Solution #1] Create a little peace daily. With 1440 minutes in a day - surely you can carve out 5-10 to take a deep breath, read something inspiring, drink a cup of tea, say a prayer. Set an alarm and then a timer if needed!

  • 🤩 [Solution #2] Be dedicated to choosing the right people in your circles - who do you really value in your life? Who can you trade or share tasks with from time to time? Don’t be afraid to ask for help - you could be opening the door to a great partnership and friendship!

  • 🤩 [Solution #3] Know your priorities. As hard as it is to say no, it is never harder than all the time it sucks away when you say yes to what should have been a no. Make a list of the top five things that really matter to you and use that as your filter.
